The wedding is considered as sacred and solemn according to the biblical days.

In every culture, the bride and the groom enter into the wedlock as two individuals and become part of each other to create a new family. A wedding can be said as the highest of all celebrations in the entire life. The people who attend the Catholic weddings are grasped by the traditions in the wedding. The candles are lightened up as a blessing in the Catholic marriage at the church. The candlelight blessing is acceptable due to the spiritual context. The candle is a symbol of Christ according to the scriptures.

The wedding is a celebration of love, commitment, and devotion to unique traditions and customs. The marriage is also a fantastic and heart touching event. The bride and the groom want the reception and ceremony to be a unique and personalized event. They often adopt the traditions and customs of the culture other than their own and look for meaningful experiences.

The people enrich their culture with the customs of the country. So it is not a surprise that many of the wedding traditions and customs are beautiful. The bride and the groom adopt the traditions and customs which they found to be meaningful. In the modern wedding ceremony and reception, some of the traditions have become an integral part of the Catholic weddings.

The customs and traditions of the Catholic weddings will differ by the specific ethnic group. The sacrament of matrimony is a ceremony which consists of three biblical readings, exchange of rings and exchange of vows. If also includes a faithful prayer, nuptial blessing, and appropriate music. This ceremony usually takes place in the morning or early afternoon during a nuptial mass.

The bride and the groom are provided with a kneeling bench, but they will not offer the kneeling pillows. In the congregation seating, the first pews are used by the bridal party.

The excitement of Catholic wedding-The bride and the groom may personalize the ceremony by selecting the appropriate readings from the prayers and scriptures. The music and hymns chosen by the church will be used in the Catholic weddings.
