Being a person of the 21st century, if you think wedding etiquettes are outdated, especially the wording section, then you can try some trendy wedding invitation wording. Before you jump into the new ideas, you must have a clear idea about the invitation wording and its importance. Each portion of the invitation wording has its own importance and you should maintain the important parts with slight alternation in your invitation wording if you have decided not to go with the tradition. The wording of your wedding invitation must make you and your partner happy and create minimum family stress. You might want to be creative with the wedding invitation wording, but it has a purpose. Wordings are designed to serve the purpose of giving information about the details of the main event, before being too creative keep in mind the basic purpose of your invitation wording. You should maintain few things in your wedding invitation wording.

The Host line

In earlier days, the parents of the bride used to host the whole event, but now those traditions are not there anymore. Now both the families equally participate in organising the event. You may put some creativity on the host line and mention the bride and groom’s parents’ name along with their name in the host line.

Request Line

The request line is the reflection of the style of your wedding. Many couples nowadays don’t prefer to get married in a religious institution. So make your request line in a more relaxed way. You may write- “pleasure with your company”. The relaxed request line is the latest trend in wedding invitation wording. The actual job of the request line is to ask people to attend the event. According to your wedding style, feel free to be creative. Use heartwarming light tone to ask people to join your big day. You can also write “ invite you to share the joy…”, or maybe “ come and join the party…”.

Name Line

There is not much scope for creativity in this line. You have to mention the name of the bride and groom in this line. The maximum you can do is writing the names without the last name. You can use modern designer calligraphy or metallic paint to highlight the names.

The Information line

You have to mention the venue of the event in your wedding invitation wording. This will help the people to find the location; it will also help them to choose the dress for the event. You can also mention the theme of the party and tell your guests to dress according to the event. Various themes for a wedding can be chosen.

The Party Line

This is the place, where you can be really creative. This line gives the idea about the celebration. If you have decided to be creative and think out of the box, you can choose a cool party line. The party line will help the guests to get an idea of the celebration. You can simply write “wild celebration after the wedding”, or “join us for dinner”.

Choose the wording of your wedding card properly. This is the very first step to invite your guests.
