Men who have been married wouldn’t disagree with the fact that choosing the right wedding suit is one of the most difficult tasks in the process of wedding bonanza. No, it is not the matter of just black and white or some random choice of colors. A lot of thinking and options goes into considering a wedding suit. A man who has always worn jeans and a regular T-Shirt would find it hard to choose between a single and a double-breasted jacket suit for the D-Day.
Following are five mistakes that are easily made by the grooms while choosing a wedding suit but can be avoided!
Time is precious
Don’t wait until the last moment to buy the suit. A last minute purchased weddingsuit would not be perfect and would definitely have glitches here and there. Exploit the internet and look for designs that would best go according to the type of wedding and most importantly the body type. One should start looking for the suit at least 3 months prior the wedding.
Do not try new styles
The most important thing on the wedding is to be you. Just because your fiancée wants you to try something different, don’t do it. Opt for options that you are most comfortable in and look great. Picking a style that’s different and unique has more chances of breaking the image than making it.
Less is more
Accessorize your outfit to the minimum. For the wedding, your suit should do the talking. A Classic pair of cufflinks, a vintage watch, and a satin pocket square is the ideal accessoriesfor any outfit. Do not overdo your outfit; it makes the overall look too busy.
Fit is everything
Do not rent the outfit! Always buy the wedding dress. Apart from the fitting, a wedding outfit has a lot of memories associated with it and is best when preserved. A rented outfit would not fit the body and would have some minor loopholes which would be evident at the time of the wedding. It is important to purchase the wedding outfit according to the fit and size.
Seek the bride’s opinion
The bride can sometimes take the seat of the wedding planner when it comes to finalizing the wedding outfit for the groom and her. It is best to ask for her opinion and know what she is wearing. This would rule out the question of the couple being in contrasting outfits. There are couples who would not want to wear matching outfits; this advice works for them as well. Don’t involve too many people for your selection of the wedding suits since too many clashes can actually confuse you and you may end up buying a suit that is suitable for some and not suitable for you.
Nevergo for wedding suits that have vague patterns and colors, until and unless the wedding is a theme wedding. Other than that, always stick to the solid colors!
